A "Snapshot" of Things to Come!

As I sit here and reflect on this past year, I can't help but feel that 2014 has been a year of ups-and-downs for me.  I have experienced one of the greatest pains of my life, having lost my fur baby and best friend on the last day of school.  I also experienced fear as I sat with my mother-in-law as the doctors told her that she had cancer and that she would be undergoing chemotherapy.  But with those sad and scary moments, arose gifts.

After some time, I opened my heart to love again and welcomed this little girl into my heart and into my home...and now into my bed at night, ha!  Meet Lola.  She's my rescue from the Jersey shore, and with the pain of Trooper's passing, came to me this little furry gift.

I was also given the gift of my mother-in-law showing me how strong one person really can be.  She has soared through chemotherapy and has pushed on in a way that I'm sure I never could.  I'm so proud of her, and am happy to report that she is doing wonderful!

I can't talk about 2014 without talking about my TpT conference in Vegas!  I met so many of my wonderful friends...in person! lol.  We have formed such wonderful bonds over the past couple of years...my journey on TpT wouldn't mean much without them.

In keeping with making new friends and moving into a new year, I am so excited to tell you about a new venture for me!  I am teaming up with some of my blogger/TpT buddies on a really wonderful upper-elementary collaborative blog adventure!

  1. Happy New Year! That's great that you were able to adopt such a sweet and cute dog - you can tell from the picture. I like how Cesar Milan says - "You don't get the dog you want, you get the dog you need." I enjoyed your post today.
