Interacting With Reading and Writing in Grades 3-6!!

Did you ever do something and felt like you a million pounds has been lifted off of your shoulders??  Well, that happened to me today!  After 2 1/2 months I FINALLY finished a product that I'm so proud of!  It's an Interactive Writing Center that focuses on perfecting students' writing AND reading skills!  Why is it so special?  Well, first of all...I couldn't find anything like it.  I was going to buy one from my fellow sellers, but I couldn't find anything for my grade level.  I am not the type of person to wait around...especially when it comes to my classroom, so after speaking to a couple of my teacher friends, I put together a HUGE list of topics that I felt would benefit our students. Let's take a look at what I came up with...

You can click on any of the above photos to go check it out in my store.  I hope you like it as much as I do!  It was truly a labor of love... :)

It's cooooming!!  Woo HOO!!  I can't believe it's that time of year, but since it is...let's jump both feet in and start our school year off right!  Take advantage of this sale and come clean out your wishlist.  I'm going to give you a sampler of some of my products, so that you can see what's in my store.  You may want to grab it during the sale to get the best possible price! FYI...I don't have sales very often, so if you see something you like, now's your chance.

Let's check out my binders, which have been, BY FAR my best selling items!  As a matter of fact, several of them have seen the Top 100...even Top 50 list on the entire TpT site over the summer!  They are jam packed with binder covers, forms, and so much more to help you have your classroom organized with ease! After struggling with MY OWN personal organization through the years... I had it!  I was done searching here and there for what I needed, which is why I decided to put these together.

Let me start with my #1 best selling item...My Ultimate Teaching Binder: Funky Chalkboard Theme...

Bland and White with Pops of Color Binder....

Sweet Sophistication Binder...

I have four other binders in different themes in my store!  So if these aren't your style, come by my shop to see if something else is!

Here are some of my other items...

My Homeworkopoly board is a fresh take on the traditional classroom game.  I like things that are appealing to the eye, as well as practical....so this is what I came up with!  My students SOOO look forward to this every morning that they come into my room.

Classroom Decor Kits...

More products for your instruction...

I have a bunch of stuff, so I'd love for you to stop by!

You can put whatever you want into your TpT Wishlist and then come back to get it during the sale, which takes away having to remember what you saw and where you saw it! I wish you all a wonderful year of teaching.  I have some great plans for some wonderful interactive products for both ELA and Math coming up!  BE SURE TO FOLLOW my store for product updates and FREEBIES!! (Which are in my store, as well... ;)

Have a good one!

I ALMOST FORGOT!!!  BE SURE TO STOP BACK FOR MY CLASSROOM REVEAL THAT WILL BE HAPPENING WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK!  This is my favorite one yet!!

Classroom Creation

Okay, before we create give me a second to wipe the dust off of this blog...  Much better!  As you can clearly see, it's been a looooong time since I have posted on my blog.  I really do have a great reason, but to be honest, I would have to write a book to fully explain why.  Just trust me...my life needed me more than my blog did.  HOWEVER...I'm baaack!  Woo hoo!!  I am super excited to share my classroom creations and upcoming classroom with you guys!  It's amazing how much time and money we teachers spend on our classroom and our students.  Money aside, I get SuPeR excited to have a fresh start!  I have met SOOO many educators since January from ALL around the world, and to say the least...I am inspired!  I don't know that I have ever gone into a school year with such an excitement to get started and to try new things!  So thank you to all of my TpT buddies that I have met...love you guys so much!

So enough with the words, right?  Let's get onto my project!!  Here's a table that I found at a consignment store for $15!!!!  I found a couple of other great finds, as well, that I will be sure to share with you in the near future. ;)

So here's the deal...it was ALREADY painted a chalkboard black...and so my first thought was those legs!!  I sound like a 20 year old guy!  Ha! Ha!  Okay...not trying to...table...table!! What do YOU see when you look at them??  Well, if you're a teacher, you may see what I saw.........PENCILS!!
My wheels started turning and I couldn't get to Michaels quick enough!  Let's get started...

Here's what I purchased from Michaels to get started...

I bought acrylic paint for the project, some new paint brushes, and some paint marker pens.  After I cleaned the table off, I decided that it would be easier to paint if it were upside down. Why??...I don't know...I just felt like it would be easier! :)  So here it is flipped, prepped, and with an old sheet under it, as not to get acrylic paint on our beautiful hardwood. :)

Before I painted the legs all of the pretty colors, I painted them white first.  I think it's a better idea to paint color on white rather than black.  So here's what that looked like.

Once that was completed, I started on the color...

In the midst of painting the legs of the table, my wheels continued to turn.  This time...it was focused on the top of the table.  What you're seeing is just me experimenting...no one would see this...but I figured it was a good idea to practice before I did the real deal!  I came up with the idea of putting educationally related words around the top of the table in white marker paint.  Here's my practicing in progress...

Okay, fast forward.......here's what it turned out to be..........

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK??????!!!!

It really was super simple to do, especially since it was already painted...but I really love how it turned out!  I am going to be using this for my listening center in my classroom.  What's nice is that it also has a drawer in it, where I plan to keep the worksheets for that week that go with the story they are listening to!  Yah!!

I DO APOLOGIZE for the delay in posting.  I am hoping that things pick up and that you come and visit me every now and then. :)  This is such an exciting time of year for everyone, so I wish you all well and a happy start to a new year!

XOXO!!!

By the way...look what's coming!!!  Yah!! Time to shop!!
