Let's get organized, teachers!

I, like many of you, I'm sure...LOVE to be organized, especially in my classroom!  There's nothing I dislike more than looking for papers, or thumbing through 5 separate binders to find something that should be right in front of me.  After teaching for 6+ years, I finally decided that enough was enough.  I have had the idea for quite some time to come up with an all-inclusive binder for teachers.  Let me tell you, I JAM-PACKED this baby with nearly everything you could want at your fingertips as a teacher.  I was kind enough to get feedback from some of my other teacher buddies who let me in on "what they need"...and so I delivered just that. :)

I, as of right now, have three different color schemes/themes for this binder.  I wanted to do a variety of them, seeing as all of our classrooms are different and this is something that is inteded to be out and about your classroom a lot!  I wanted it to be not only functional, but eye catching, as well.  :)  Here are the previews of the three that I have completed so far.  If you like one, just click on it and it will take you directly to my store where you can read more about it and get an even closer look!

Theme #1: The Sweet Sophistication Theme

Theme #2: The Colors of Teaching

Theme #3: Funky Chalkboard

Summer's almost here and if you're anything like me, you are already thinking about next year.  What will you do differently?  What can you make better?  Well, I'm hoping that this answers a couple of your questions for you!  I'd love to hear your feedback and I wish you all a great summer vacation!

  1. Joey- these are beautiful! I especially love the funky chalkboard. I am a homeschool mom, so these won't work for me, but I did want to tell you they really caught my eye on pintrest and I hope you make a lesson planner (preferably one that can be used by homeschoolers too!) in these colors! Great work, and I hope you have a lot of success with them.

    1. These look great - just wondering what you recommend doing. Would you print what you need as you need it and do you put them in a folder or binder? Really think this is a super idea. Thanks.

    2. Hi, Susan! I made five of these binders in different themes...working on a 6th. :) I would say that as far as how you organize it, I would do whatever you want! I will be printing out what I know I will need and putting it all into a large binder for easy access. I did create separate "Lesson Plans" and "Common Core" binder spines, as some teachers like to have these separate from other materials. Otherwise, it's really up to you! :)

    3. Thanks Joey - just have to decide which one I want now. Am I correct in presuming that the same items are in each bundle just different designs? Thanks again

    1. Hi, Kim! Thanks so much for your kind comment. :) I have 5 themes for these binder and am actually working on a 6th right now! They have been well-accepted by other educators, as well...it's an honor to know that people are going to be helped by something that I created! I love that!

Stop back soon! I have some fun summer projects coming up that I can't wait to share!
      Thanks!

  4. Hi! I just purchased the Sweet Sophistication one and really like what is coming out of the printer! I'm wondering if you put certain pages in your binder in page protectors? How do you best clearly mark the separate title pages within one larger binder? Thanks!

    1. Hi, Suzanne! I'm so glad that you like it! I am making updates to it as we speak and will be sending those out to my buyers within the week, so make sure you look for those! :) I, personally, like to put some of mine in page protectors. Some people like to laminate them, get them bound, three hole punch...it's really up to you. Also, you aren't limited, of course, to putting it all in one binder. I made separate binder spines for Common Core Standards and lesson plans, because I know some people like to put those separate. I like to put tabs on the outside of my pages for each new section and label those. I get the kind that are able to stick to the page itself. You can find them at Wal Mart, Staples, Target, etc.

I hope that helps and I thank you so much again!
I am going to be leaving from vacation and won't be back on the computer for several hours, so if you message me, please know that I will respond later today!

  5. Thanks for getting back to me so soon Joey! I reprinted my pages from the pdf after finding the ppt ones were blurry. oops...but now they are great! I am so excited by your offerings on TPT after being out of the classroom,in the curriculum dept for 9 years. I am so excited to go back and create what I always felt would my ideal classroom. That is all ready to go and now these binder pieces help so much (and really, are such a time-saver)! Thanks for your idea of the tabs that I can put on my page protectors...perfect!

    1. Not a problem on getting back to you quickly! I was on vacation, so I typically would have gotten back to you even quicker. :) I'm not sure why the PPT would print out blurry. I print from it all of the time and it prints beautifully. Hmmm... Just a suggestion...try printing it through Staples or another professional printing company. The quality is beautiful and completely unmatched by a home printer. It does cost money. I would also call them to see if you brought the file to them if you could pick and choose which pages to print. You may not need all of the pages in the binder.

I am making updates within the next week to my binders that clean them up even more and I'm adding a little more to them, so be on the lookout for an update from me! :) Feel free to contact me with any other questions/concerns that you have at all. I am happy to help ya!

      Thanks again!

  6. Hi Joey!
I also just purchased Sweet Sophistication. Can you tell me which font you used so while I'm editing it I can match yours? Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Pattie! :) I purchased the font through Rowdy Fonts on TpT. Here is her link: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Rowdy-Fonts

The other fonts were fonts that I have had on my computer for a really long time and truly have no idea where they came from, but Rowdy Fonts are the fonts that I use on my covers. I hope that helps! :)

      Thanks so much!
